By capturing training environments with a large array of high resolution cameras, it is possible to reconstruct the 3-D environment to a user stereoscopically and enable more realistic training scenarios where the presence of a live trainer and/or photo-realistic content is desirable. The figure below, taken from the PANES video, shows a possible camera configuration in front of a tank engine. The user will "look" through the cameras as if looking through a pane of glass and be able to look over the shoulder of the instructor.
